Chimney Sweep: Chimney Cleaning
Your fireplace or stove may be the centrepiece of your living room or kitchen, but it’s easy to forget about the chimney behind it. No matter what kind of fuel you burn, all smoke leaves behind an oily buildup of soot. Cleaning your chimney at least once a year, depending on use, will keep you, your family and your home safe.
Tim Lawless Senior has over thirty-five years’ experience in the chimney cleaning business. Whether you use a solid fuel stove or a traditional fire, you can turn to A Clean Sweep for prompt, efficient service with assurance that the job will be done, and done well.

When should I clean my chimney?
Dublin City Council, The National Safety Council and local fire services all recommend that chimneys be swept thoroughly at least twice a year for coal, wood or turf burning fires.
One of these cleanings should be in the middle of the high-use period (i.e. late winter/early spring). The other should be at the end of Autumn to make sure the chimney is free of leaves and other debris.
